Emery’s New Era Group continues to expand abilities and client base

The New Era Group is an advanced manufacturing firm founded by Mario Tersigni in 1963 and has remained a family-owned business to this day.

“We have second and third-generation family members on board, and most of our employees have been with us a very long time,” said General Manager Tony De Ciantis. “Mario was the visionary and guiding force for almost 55 years. He created the foundation, principles, and formula for success that we still use today. His honest work ethic, integrity, and attention to the quality of workmanship have made New Era Group a success on all levels.”

Over time the group has grown from a custom job shop specializing in large machining and fabricating to a multi-faceted company that works with a diverse customer base to achieve its manufacturing goals.

“We provide end-to-end solutions for our customers,” said De Ciantis. “Because we have a variety of different companies with different applications, we can do turn-key operations. So, we don’t just build a machine, we can put the electronics on it, make it automated, whatever our client needs. And to do that, we draw from all our different routes.”

The New Era Group maintains a diverse portfolio of companies, each with its own exciting expertise.

The philosophy of the group, Tersigni explained, is to acquire businesses in the industrial service area and create additional value by generating new economies of scale, increasing managerial effectiveness, improving production, and ultimately finding synergies.

“Our clients are used to coming to us, knowing that one way or another, we are going to find a way to satisfy their needs,” De Ciantis said.

“We service power generation, defence and military, nuclear, oil and gas, mining, steel mills, automotive, aerospace, shipbuilding, and other heavy industries. And one of the reasons I believe the company has been successful is because we haven’t focused on a specific industry. So, when times have gotten tough in the automotive space, for example, the company didn’t suffer because we have a diversity of customers.”
