At the grand opening of Fix Auto North York on November 15th, the atmosphere was brimming with celebration and pride. It wasn’t just about a new name or a fresh brand—it was about honouring a family-run business that has been an integral part of Emery Village for decades. Congratulations were the order of the day, with scrolls, speeches, and heartfelt messages from community leaders, including Sandra Farina, Executive Director of the Emery Village BIA, Ward 7 Councillor Anthony Perruzza and MPP Tom Rakocevic.
The journey of Fix Auto North York began 30 years ago as J&E/Tokyo Auto Collision, founded by Roger Seochand. Seochand, present at the grand opening, beamed with pride as he reflected on the accomplishments of the business he built from scratch and its seamless transition into second-generation management under his son, Juremy Seochand as Senior Operations Manager . “My dad started out as a painter in another shop before opening his own in 2002,” Juremy said. “He worked tirelessly, job by job, and built this business on trust. That trust is something we’ll always stand by.”
Rebranding as Fix Auto North York marks a major milestone for the business. Juremy explained that joining the Fix Auto network resolves a long-standing challenge for independent shops navigating the insurance-preferred shop system. “Now, we can compete with preferred shops, making it easier for our customers to bring their cars here without the hassle. We’re still a family business, but with Fix Auto’s resources behind us, we’ve enhanced efficiency, quality, and the overall customer experience.”
Fix Auto is a global leader in collision repair, with a strong presence across Canada and beyond. “We can complete repairs faster, offer better pricing, and ensure a seamless process for every customer,” Juremy added.
