Councillor’s corner
Dear Resident,
I hope you are enjoying the fall weather and have all set your clocks back an hour for daylight savings.
Right now, the TTC is proposing changes to Jane Street that I believe will make transportation harder for transit and all other users of the road. The proposed changes include a reduction of current traffic lanes and the creation of a priority bus lane. I am calling on all users of the road to demand decent transit options that benefit the entire community. Jane Street is an artery of the City. Residents and users of Jane Street deserve a street that will allow transit to be fast, reliable and comfortable. Drivers deserve a Jane Street that allows two full traffic lanes in either direction and cyclists and pedestrians deserve a Jane Street that has bike lanes and sidewalks in safe location off the road. If you agree, please sign my petition using the QR code.
Also, my office has been helping local seniors apply for the Canada Dental Care Program. Many in the neighbourhood are unaware that they qualify. This program can help pay for things like cleanings, fillings, root canals and more. Anyone aged 65 or over, children under 18, or adults with a valid Disability Tax Credit are eligible provided their household income is under $90, 000. If you have questions or need help, please contact my office.
