Canada Dental Care plan expands to keep everyone smiling

By Sean Delaney

The Canada Dental Care Plan has grown. Launched for children under 12, the plan now includes seniors, addressing a crucial gap in affordable dental care.

The expansion ensures seniors with a net annual family income of less than $90,000 can access tax-free payments to cover dental treatment. Whether it’s routine cleanings, fillings, or other necessary procedures, the Canada Dental Care Plan helps.

Eligible seniors can receive tax-free payments of $260, $390, or $650, depending on their income. Families with children under 12 can also still take advantage of the plan, receiving similar support for each eligible child.

The application process is simple, seniors and families must book a dental appointment before applying and provide the necessary details about the dentist and expected appointment date.
