Taking giving to the Maxx

By Sean Delaney

Jayson Driver, VP OF Business Development for Maxx Liquidation Solutions is in the spirit.

He is ready to give back to his community, and he knew that his business had just the unique platform to allow him, and a host of others to do just that.

“We’ve designed a way to give about 10 percent of our total company profit back to charity,” Driver said. “We figured this was a great way to do it. We’re going to offer our platform of services, and our staff to other people who want to move products through our online auction.”

Driver said he got the idea from his child’s school who do live auctions for charity, as well as companies from his past doing silent auctions in board rooms and lunchrooms.

“We thought, maybe companies who have excess merchandise they want to move, could use it to raise charitable funds,” Driver said. “This might be the solution they wouldn’t have thought of otherwise.”

Driver said companies can bring the product to Maxx between December 13 to 16, and they will use their staff and operation to prepare an online auction for January 1, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to charities.

“If a company is going to donate goods, they tell us the charity they’re going to donate to, and we will send 100 percent of the top bid, including the 20 percent of the buyer’s premium we would usually keep to charities.”

Maxx is also covering the credit card fees for these transactions so become a member and get ready for January 12st.
