Get ready to vote: check your information early
Toronto’s municipal election takes place Monday, October 26, 2026, and Emery residents can begin preparing well before voting day.
Starting September 1, eligible voters can use the City’s MyVote service to check, update or add their information to the voters’ list. Updates completed by September 20 at 11:59 p.m. will allow a voter information card to be mailed. Residents can also contact Toronto Elections through 311 or VoterRegistration@toronto.ca for help.
September 1 is also the first day to request mail-in voting. The request deadline is Thursday, September 24 at 4:30 p.m. Completed mail-in packages must reach Toronto Elections by noon on Wednesday, October 14, so voters using this option should allow enough return time.
Advance voting runs October 6–11 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Election-day voting is October 26 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Identification requirements, voting locations and accessibility information should be confirmed through Toronto Elections before voting. Visit www.toronto.ca for current dates and official updates.
