Publisher’s comment
Dear residents, business owners, and friends of Emery Village,
Excitement is in the air as the Emery Village Business Improvement Area (BIA) gears up to mark its remarkable 20th anniversary this August. Being the publisher of the Emery Village Voice newspaper, I am thrilled to invite each and every one of you to join us in this momentous celebration. It’s time to rejoice in our achievements and express our heartfelt gratitude to the 3,200 businesses that have helped drive Emery Village’s success.
We offer a heartfelt thank you to the Emery business community. The Emery Village BIA has worked tirelessly for two decades to enhance our neighborhood’s charm, security, and prosperity. We owe this progress to the unwavering support of the 3,200 businesses that have generously contributed to various programs. From beautification projects that have given our streets a vibrant makeover to advocating with government bodies on critical issues such as bylaw enforcement and transportation, safety, and security – our businesses have been true partners in progress.
Beyond the businesses, a group of remarkable individuals deserves our heartfelt thanks – the past and present Board of Directors. These dedicated volunteers have selflessly devoted their time and energy to make Emery Village a better place to work, live, and play. Their vision, leadership, and commitment have been instrumental in shaping the BIA’s success story, and we are truly grateful for their contributions.
Emery Village BIA is inviting all residents to an exciting Movie-in-the-Park event on Saturday, August 19th, starting at 5:30 p.m. (Sunday the 20th is a rain date, see the ad on page 2) to honour this incredible milestone. We want everyone in our community to unite and share this joyous occasion.
The festivities will not only celebrate our past accomplishments but also lay the foundation for an even brighter future for Emery Village.
As we count the days to the BIA’S 20th-anniversary celebration, I urge you to spread the word among your friends, families, colleagues, and fellow residents. Let’s ensure every community member is part of this memorable occasion.
On behalf of the Emery Village Voice, I extend my warmest appreciation to the BIA and all the businesses and volunteers who have contributed to the growth and success of our beautiful community. Your dedication has shaped Emery Village into the thriving community we all cherish, and a special thanks to the past and present BIA Board of Directors.
I hope to see you all on August 19th for the BIA Movie-in-the-Park celebration.
Sincerely,
Sean Delaney
