This year, the Ontario government has made changes to the roles of school board trustees that many feel have reduced their ability to communicate directly with parents and the wider school community. While trustees still make decisions at the board level, some of their previous responsibilities—particularly around direct engagement—have shifted or been limited. This makes principals and vice principals more critical than ever as the primary points of contact for families. They are now the ones most often bridging daily school operations with board leadership and serving as the first point of contact for questions, concerns, or feedback.
In light of these changes, the Emery Village Voice is publishing names, direct phone numbers, and school email addresses so families can reach those who matter most at your child’s school, quickly and effectively.
