Jeanne McGuire is running as the Communist Party of Canada’s candidate in Humber River–Black Creek for the 2025 federal election. With a background in education, health, and recreation, McGuire brings a wealth of experience to her candidacy. She has been actively involved in the trade union movement, advocating for workers’ rights and social justice.?

The Communist Party of Canada (CPC) envisions a socialist Canada where wealth is equitably owned by the working people who create it, aiming to end exploitation and oppression. Guided by Marxist-Leninist principles, the party emphasizes the importance of working-class power both nationally and internationally. ?

The CPC’s platform for the 2025 federal election includes developing and implementing a comprehensive, full employment strategy based on massive public investments to increase value-added jobs in environmentally sustainable manufacturing and secondary industry. This includes rebuilding industries destroyed by corporate offshoring and free trade, expanding Canada’s public infrastructure, and carrying out a massive program to build 2 million units of social housing across the country to create jobs and tackle the housing crisis.
