The need for food distributed by local food banks is increasing drastically, and they need your help to keep up with the number of families needing assistance.
The annual holiday Red Bag Food Drive will begin soon. Please keep an eye out for your red bag delivered to your door or mailbox between December 1 to 4.
Please fill the bags and be as generous as possible. The bag pick-up is slated for December 7.
Along with non-perishable food items, the following are some items that are urgently needed: hygiene products, diapers, formula, oil, and adult diapers.
Also, there is a need for volunteers to help deliver bags in the Joseph Bannon area, Strathburn Park area, Pelmo Park area, and Verobeach area. Remember that for any high school students looking to clock some community volunteer hours, this is an excellent opportunity to get the required amount needed. And, for those residents looking to stay fit, volunteering is a great way to get those steps in while helping to make a positive contribution to the many in need.
