Executive Director’s Message-July 2016

The dog days of summer

The heat is on!

Heat waves and weather alerts have been all over the news; do you know where cooling stations are located in your area?

Joseph Bannon Park has the perfect splash pad for you and the kids to cool off. Bring your water bottles and beach towels, hydrate and have fun!

August presents some of Toronto’s favourite events.

For all things Greek, Taste of the Danforth runs from Aug. 5 to 7.

The Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) opens it doors from Aug. 19 to Sept. 5.

Take the plunge and indulge in some pretty inventive treats and of course the classic rides and games.

Explore all Toronto has to offer and save by purchasing a Toronto CityPASS that will save you 45% off five of Toronto’s top attractions and allows you to skip the line ups.

The pass includes admission to the CN Tower, Royal Ontario Museum, Casa Loma, Ripley’s Aquarium and either the Toronto Zoo (think cute fuzzy baby Pandas) or the Ontario Science Centre.

Adult: $64 CAD ($115 value) + tax; Child $41 CAD (ages 4-12) + tax.

The CityPASS is valid 9 days after first visit. Purchase booklets or printable vouchers online with all information included.

Keep cool and keep safe!

Sincerely,

Sandra Farina
