Executive Director's Message - Sept 2016

For your Autumn fun

I would like to begin this message by thanking all the sponsors who contributed to the Emery Village Charities Golf Tournament held on Sept. 8. We are so grateful that with you we made a difference by raising the needed funds that will go to charities near and dear to our hearts. Please know that partnerships with our sponsors are vital to Emery Village Charities’ success.

You are truly appreciated. Thank you again from all of us at the Emery Village BIA.

Autumn has arrived and the kids are back in school. Here are some ideas to keep the family interested and occupied during the month of October.

Exploring nature and being outdoors promotes healthy living. Get out and walk, run or bike ride along the Humber River. There are a number of different trails you can explore with family and friends, all year round. Families can also set out to learn more about the plants and animals found in the area that populate the diverse habitats, including meadows, forests and wetlands.

If you’re interested in a park and want to find out what events they have to offer, please visit:

Hopefully the autumn season will bring comfortable temperatures so that we can all stay outside a little longer.

Have fun and stay safe!

Sincerely,

Sandra Farina
