Emery Village BIA Executive Director’s message - November 2022

Emery Village BIA Executive Director’s message

Thank you to everyone who came out to our first in-person Remembrance Day ceremony and celebration after two years of COVID-19 restrictions. We had a great turnout at Joseph Bannon Park with many guest speakers who paid tribute to our fallen soldiers and local hero Joseph Bannon.

As a reminder, Emery BIA is partnering with 31 Division this Holiday Season, for our annual Holiday Toy and Food Drive. Every year many vulnerable families and children may go without food or toys for the Holidays, and we will be collecting TOYS and NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS for families in need in our community. Toy donations will be delivered to 31 Division and food donations will be distributed to Weston Emergency Services and North York Harvest Food Bank. In past years, businesses have set up a donation box in their office and we encourage you to do the same. We will be picking up donations between December 5 to 7.

On behalf of all Emery Village BIA staff, we wish you a happy, healthy, and safe holiday season, as well as a prosperous new year. After this difficult year, we hope you are able to gather and celebrate with your loved ones this season, and we look forward to bringing you many new events in 2023.

Sincerely,

Sandra Farina

Executive Director
