Emery Village BIA Executive Director’s message
As the school year comes to a close and summer approaches, we’re thrilled to announce that the Emery Village BIA will be hosting our Annual Movie in the Park Night at Joseph Bannon Park on Friday, June 27th, 2025 (rain date: June 28th). Festivities kick off at 5 p.m., with the movie beginning at dusk.
Come hungry! Our local food vendors will serve delicious treats, and the evening promises fun for the whole family. This is a free community event, so bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy a magical night under the stars.
Additional parking will be available at Emery Plaza (corner of Sheppard and Abraham Welsh).
We’re also looking for volunteers aged 16 and up to help out on the day of the event. If you’re interested in lending a hand, please email us at, info@emeryvillagebia.ca or call us at: 416-744-7242
As more children are out enjoying the warmer weather, we kindly remind everyone to drive with extra care and stay alert—let’s keep our streets safe for all.
I’d also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Humber River–Black Creek community and residents from as far as Barrie who generously donated evening gowns, shoes, accessories, suits, ties, and shirts in support of Project Prom 2025. A special thank you as well to 31 Division Police and Melody Carroll for their help collecting and supporting this amazing initiative. Your kindness helped make prom night a reality for many graduating students—a night they’ll never forget.
And finally, don’t forget to mark your calendars! Join us at Joseph Bannon Park (65 Mary Chapman Blvd.) on June 27th from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. for a fantastic night of music, face painting, bouncy castles, great food from local Emery businesses, and quality time with friends, family, and neighbours.
Warm regards,
Sandra Farina
Executive Director
