Emery Village BIA Executive Director’s message - March 2022

Emery Village BIA Executive Director’s message

Hello everyone,

The Emery BIA is happy to partner with Toronto Public Health to offer the business community two free vaccination clinics on April 12th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and April 13th 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Carmine Stefano Community Centre (3100 Weston Road).

This is available to Emery BIA businesses, their staff and immediate family members including children over the age of five.

Please see the ad in this newspaper for more information.

The City of Toronto continues to offer several supports to help small business owners and operators recover from the impacts of COVID-19.

These include grants, incentives, online training, advisory services, and a new small business property tax sub-class.

Small businesses, including restaurants, are encouraged to take advantage of these resources. To learn more, please go online and visit:

This is a reminder that as of March 1st, the Province of Ontario changed several COVID-19 restrictions.

Capacity limits have been lifted in all indoor public settings and proof of vaccination requirements have been lifted.

Businesses can still choose to require proof of vaccination upon entry. As restrictions continue changing and the weather gets warmer, we encourage you to follow safety measures to continue protecting the community.

The Commercial Façade Improvement Grant Program is still accepting applications until May 5th, 2022.

We encourage you to check your eligibility and reach out to us if you need help with calculating potential funding or filling out the application.

More information on eligibility is here:

We hope you continue to enjoy the warmer weather as businesses open up in the community.

Sincerely,

Sandra Farina

Executive Director
