Emery Village BIA Executive Director’s message - July 2022

Emery Village BIA Executive Director’s message

Emery Village BIA would like to wish everyone who is going back to school next month a happy back to school. We would also like to congratulate the four students who received the 2022 Emery Village BIA Scholarship for academics and school and community involvement.

The Board of Management congratulate you and wish you the best for the next year. As construction for the Finch West LRT continues, some high-traffic areas around schools might be impacted, and we encourage you to stay up to date with construction updates through our website, social media, and e-newsletter. For parents dropping off students, please be cautious of restricted parking areas and speed for the safety of students, and we encourage walking students to school whenever weather permits.

Emery BIA continues working with Logixx Security to protect businesses during this time. There is a day, evening, and weekend guard available in the BIA. We encourage you to send us updated contact information about your business to make use of these services.

The Emery Village BIA will be hosting free seminars in partnership with WSIB open to all small and large businesses with 1-99 employees. Please stay on the lookout for these over the next month. They are meant to support business growth and recovery during and after the pandemic. Check out the event calendar on Emery Village BIA’s website for a list and links to register for each.

If you are a small or large business owner in Emery Village, we encourage you to enter our contest to win a free ¼ page advertisement in the Emery Village Voice newspaper. This will allow you to reach a monthly audience of over 18,000 readers and is open to all Emery businesses.

You are welcome to advertise for new job openings, sales and special deals, business achievements, or anything else. To enter fill out the form in this newspaper, or visit:
