Emery BIA executive director’s message
This past month, Emery Village was proud to host a Federal Roundtable discussion that brought together local businesses, government representatives, and community leaders. It was a significant opportunity to share concerns, ideas, and solutions during what can be uncertain times for many of our members. On behalf of the BIA, I want to extend my sincere thanks to all of the businesses that participated and contributed their voices to the discussion. A special thank you is also due to Minister Rechie Valdez and our Member of Parliament, Judy Sgro, whose presence and commitment to listening made the gathering so meaningful.
As we turn the page to autumn, I encourage everyone to enjoy what Emery has to offer beyond our offices, shops, and factories. Our community is wonderfully diverse, not only in its people and industries but also in its green spaces. Whether it’s a large park or a small tucked-away corner, fall is the perfect time to get outdoors, take in the changing colours, and share in the simple joy of the season.
Finally, with Thanksgiving upon us, I would like to wish all our businesses, residents, and friends a joyous holiday. May it be filled with family, laughter, and gratitude. Let us also remember to give thanks for our first responders, our healthcare workers, and the officers of 31 Division, who dedicate themselves to making Emery Village a safe and welcoming place to live and work.
Warm regards,
Sandra Farina
