Remembering those who served
The upcoming month of November gives us an opportunity to show our gratitude for the sacrifice of the brave men and women who fought in wars for our freedom.
This year we want to honour all the veterans from our Emery community who have served for Canada both in peace time, and in war.
We are reaching out to residents for them to share with us the names of veterans (either family or friends) from our community, who served or lost their lives in a battle for Canada.
We wish to honour their sacrifice as part of our Remembrance Day ceremony.
Please email the name, rank and branch of the armed forces by Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019
Email: info@emeryvillagebia.ca
Please join us at Joseph Bannon Park to pay our respects to our veterans at the annual Remembrance Day ceremony on Monday, Nov. 11, 2019.
Joseph Bannon Park is located at 65 Mary Chapman Boulevard.
The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m.
Refreshments will be served shortly after the ceremony in the tent.
