Councillor’s Corner
Dear Resident,
I want to thank those who came to the Leisure Skate and Open House at Gord and Irene Risk Community Centre.
It was nice to catch up and have a hot chocolate together after skating with family and friends.
Seeing the space fully reopen after a period of improvements is excellent.
Summer CampTO program lists are available to view online.
Registration starts February 11 at 7 a.m. You can choose from CampTO, CampTO Explore, CampTO Plus, Counsellor in Training, or Adapted & Inclusive options for campers with disabilities or needing additional support. For CampTO and any information regarding drop-in programs and spaces available for current programming, please visit:
toronto.ca/recreationCity crews are prepared to handle inclement weather, including ice, freezing rain, and snow, with a 24/7 response plan. Please be mindful when commuting throughout the cold season. Using the City’s website, you can see real-time locations of plows, sidewalk clearing, and salt trucks. You can get those live updates by visiting the City of Toronto’s website and searching PlowTO for the webpage or contacting my team and me for support. If you know a senior or someone with any accessibility concerns with snow clearing, my staff has a list of resources to share.
