Important Fireworks Safety InformationIf you’re planning to set off your own fireworks, be aware of the city’s regulations:
• Fireworks are allowed without a permit only on Canada Day and Victoria Day until 11 p.m. on private property.
• A permit is required to set off fireworks on any other day.
• Fireworks are not permitted in city parks, on beaches, balconies, streets, or any property not owned by the person setting them off.
• Always supervise fireworks to ensure safety and prevent fires or injuries. Misuse or illegal sale of fireworks can be reported to 311.
