Emery Village BIA Executive Director’s message
As classes come to an end and summer right around the corner, we are pleased to announce
that
the Emery Village BIA will soon be throwing our t at Joseph
Bannon park on June 28th, 2024 (Rain date: June 29th) at 5pm (movie to start at dusk). Bring
your appetite and be ready to try some tasty treats from our local food vendors. It is a free entry
event but make sure to come with your lawn chairs and blankets.
Additional parking is available at the Carmine Stefano Community Centre (3100 Weston Rd)
and the Emery Plaza (located at Sheppard and Abraham Walsh).
We are looking for volunteers to provide a helping hand for our Movie in the Park Night from
ages 15 and up. If you are interested in assisting us, please email us at
info@emeryvillagebia.ca.
There will be an increase in construction activity to complete the Finch West LRT, staff at
Metrolinx and Mosaic transit group (who are building the project) would like to remind
pedestrians to be cautious of construction vehicles and activity. With more children out to play,
be more careful while driving and always look twice to ensure safety in the community.
Lastly, congratulations to all the graduates. Have a great summer and don’t forget to join us at
the Joseph Bannon Park, 65 Mary Chapman Blvd., from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
