Executive Director's message-Nov 2017

Think of those in need this holiday season

Putting a smile on a child’s face is very important to us this time of year.

Emery helps by contributing to toy drives so that all children can experience the wonder and joy of receiving a gift. 31st Division Toronto Police Services has a toy drive every year to support children in need with unwrapped toys.

Donations will be accepted until Friday, Dec. 8 at the Police Station at 40 Norfinch Drive or at the Collision Reporting Centre at 113 Toryork Drive. Drop boxes are located at the front desks.

Some holiday staples families do not want to miss in Toronto this year:

One of a Kind show and sale is back again this year.

Find unique gifts for those unique people in your life. Since 1975, the One of a Kind show has been bringing together makers and the people who love them (and their products).

Everything from baked goods, jewellery and clothing to furniture and major artworks are here, along with the designers and craftspeople, so you can learn first-hand the inspiration behind the work. oneofakindshow.com

Experience the sounds, sights and scents of Christmas inspired by the European Christkindlmarkt originated in Germany in the 1400’s The Toronto Christmas Market runs from Nov. 16 to Dec. 23 and is located in the Distillery Historic District. For more information visit: TorontoChristmasMarket.com

No matter what your budget is, remember that the holidays are about spending time with family and taking a moment to bring happiness to those who are in need.

Keep safe and enjoy!

Sincerely,

Sandra Farina
