Woodview Park Library

June Programs at Woodview Park Library

Parent & Child Drop-In Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to Noon

Join Woodview Park for two hours of play through songs, books, finger play, rhymes and lots of free play time. This program is facilitated by Northwood Neighbourhood Services. A healthy snack is provided for the children. The program is for children (0 to 5 years of age) and they must be supervised. The program allows parents and caregivers the chance to meet others and play interactively in an early learning environment.

First Robotics Canada Tuesdays, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Teams of students ages 9 to 14 engage in research, problem-solving, coding and engineering by building and programming a robot that navigates the missions of a robot game. As part of the First Canada Robotics Challenge, teams also participate in a research project to identify and solve a real-world problem. Limited spaces available; pre-registration required.

Seniors Drop-In Wednesdays, Noon to 2 p.m.

This program provides seniors with an opportunity to socialize with one another in a safe and secure environment. The program is facilitated by Northwood Neighbourhood Services. Some of the recreational activities seniors may participate in include playing games, dancing, and attending health and wellness workshops. Refreshments will be provided.

Creative Crafters Saturday, May 27 2 to 3 p.m.

Join Woodview Park library in a series of activities for Adults and Seniors focusing on DYI crafts in a safe and comfortable setting. All crafting supplies are provided. Our May 27th project will be making beautiful spring flowers out of paper.

Game On! Teens Thursdays, 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Calling all gamers! Play different video games for Nintendo Wii and PlayStation 4. The Video Gaming Club meets every Thursday (Teens, ages 13+). No registration required, just drop in.
