We previously featured Bryden and Delwin Selestien, two rising stars from Emery, but we missed including both of their pictures—our apologies. These talented brothers, aged 14 and 12, have made us proud once again, representing Canada in Greece this October at the World Jiu-Jitsu Championships. Both students of Venerable John Merlini Catholic School, Bryden and Delwin have been competing in Jiu Jitsu and wrestling since they were just six and four years old, bringing home medals and making their community proud.
Currently competing on the world stage, Bryden and Delwin’s hard work and dedication inspire us all. We wish them the best of luck and look forward to seeing their results in the November edition of the Emery Village Voice.
