Can you smell summer in the air?
The sun is still out later in the evenings, birds are building their nests and the end of the school year is fast approaching.
It’s that time of year again when Emery Village introduces events and activities to our community.
Please join us for our annual Movie in the Park on Thursday, June 30 at Joseph Bannon Park located at 65 Mary Chapman Blvd. There will be activities, food and many more attractions before the movie begins. Let’s celebrate the last day of school in style. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy the big screen under the stars. The movie will begin once the sun goes down at approximately 9 p.m.
Father’s Day is also coming up Sunday, June 19. Spend the day with dad doing something everyone will enjoy. If it’s a beautiful warm sunny day take advantage of parks and bike paths in Emery Village. If the day turns out moody, its always fun to stay in and watch a good film or binge-watch your favourite television shows. Maybe prepare breakfast in bed for dad’s special day, or help out making him lunch. But nothing says “I love you” more than a handmade card for good ole dad. He will cherish the memories, time and thought behind something made from the heart.
