The Emery Village Rewards VISA Prepaid Card Will Hit Stores April 22, 2014.
The Emery Village Business Improvement Association (BIA) launched a new Prepaid VISA card to give residents and business members an opportunity to save money while they shop local.
Emery’s Ward 7 Councillor, Giorgio Mammolitti was on hand to support the program kickoff and help with the festivities. Councillor Mammolitti commented that this retail program is only one of the many dreams and ideas that have now come to fruition in Emery Village. 
“Emery Village has been seeing great renewal in the past 10 years and this trend will only get stronger,” he said. “With the support of Visa, the Emery Village BIA and Tru-Cash we now have a Visa cash card that we can call our own. Let’s get shopping and support our local businesses in the area”..
The Emery Village rewards Prepaid VISA card will be an on-going venture where businesses in Emery Village can sign up to be a part of the rewards VISA card. As the number of Emery Village business merchant’s increases, community members will have a larger opportunity to shop local in Emery Village.
The BIA is excited to have many different merchants in the Emery Village area signed up for the card to give users a number of special card holder deals.
“This is a great way to bring our community and resident members together with our businesses members and encourage people to shop here in Emery Village,” said Sandra Farina, Executive Director of the Emery Village BIA.
