With mixed emotions, The Emery Village Voice announces the beloved Lina Camastro is retiring from City of Toronto, Parks, Forestry and Recreation after 32 and a half years of dedicated service. Camastro has been an integral part of the Carmine Stefano and Humber Shepperd community and will always be remembered for her commitment, hard work, and friendly demeanour. She was an indispensable leader of the Melody Kidz organization, providing children with a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. She helped preschool children develop their social, physical, and cognitive skills.
Also, we send Camastro a special thank you from all the parents along with the many children of the Melody Kidz Program. During the past 18 years, countless children who attended the program had their lives enhanced. Many of those children excelled and were able to enter gifted programs in elementary school. Most parents agree, that Melody Kidz and the instructors were the reason the program was so successful.
Congratulations on your retirement Lina, the community wishes you all the best in your retirement adventures.
