To our cherished readers and the entire Emery Village community,

As Remembrance Day approaches, we pause to reflect on the sacrifices made by brave individuals who have donned a uniform to serve our nation and community. We remember the fallen soldiers who laid down their lives so that we could live in freedom and peace. Their legacy reminds us of the cost of the freedoms we enjoy today.

But our remembrance doesn’t end with the past. We also extend our deepest gratitude to those serving in uniform — from the Canadian Armed Forces to the Toronto Police. Their daily commitment to our safety and well-being demonstrates an unwavering dedication to our community and country.

Let us take a moment to honour them on Remembrance Day and every day. We owe them our deepest gratitude and respect. May we never forget their sacrifices and always remember to support and appreciate the men and women in uniform.

On Saturday, November 11, please join us as special guests of the Emery Village BIA at Joseph Bannon Park. Please refer back to page 2 for your invitation and information.

With deepest respect,

Sean Delaney
