Joseph Bannon Park Located at 65 Mary Chapman Blvd, this park offers a variety of amenities perfect for a hot day. It features a splash pad, a playground with senior and junior play structures, and even a mini soccer field. The park is named in honour of Joseph Bannon, a decorated war hero and dedicated community champion, and it’s a great spot for families to enjoy some outdoor fun.

Lanyard Park Address: 138 Lanyard Rd, open from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. This 2.1-hectare park near Weston Road and Finch Avenue West has a splash pad, a lit ball diamond, three outdoor tennis courts, a basketball court, and a children’s playground. It’s a perfect spot for both kids and adults to cool off and stay active.

Summerlea Park Address: 2 Arcot Blvd District, open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wading pools reopen on June 30th for the summer. This 23-hectare park near Albion Road and Islington Avenue features a ball diamond, three multipurpose fields, a cricket pitch, two basketball courts, two tennis courts, and a children’s playground. It’s a beautiful place to enjoy nature along the banks of the Humber River and a great spot to cool off in the wading pool.
