In what is to become an annual event, on Friday, December 18, Luxor Homes delivered a fabulous lunch to Emery’s 31 Division, Fire Station 411, as well as the Toronto EMS station 51. The meals were served to help thank those committed to keeping the community safe and supporting local businesses and our Emery residents during the pandemic. First responders, including police officers, firefighters, and EMTs sampled a feast that included lasagna, eggplant parmesan, pizza, and much more.
A close look at the 31 Division photo (right) shows a special holiday card created and printed on the top of the pizza boxes. The artwork includes a wintery local Emery streetscape at St Gasper, as well as local police, fire, and EMS vehicles.
“We’re thankful for those who show up every day to save lives and help those in need. We wanted to show our appreciation by hosting these thank-you lunches,” said Maria Pinto. “Our community is suffering. These men and women show up for work every day like there is nothing the matter, in many cases putting their own lives and those of their families at risk. This is just a small token of gratitude for our first responders and their dedication and selfless service to the community.”
