On behalf of the Emery Village BIA staff, and myself I would like to say a hearty thank you to all of the tenants and residents who were inconvenienced over the Sept. 12-13, road closure at Plunkett and Satterly Road for the 2nd Annual Wine Festival. Although the weather did not cooperate for the majority of the event, everyone looked like they were enjoying themselves and the entertainment we had. It was fantastic this year with added vendors as well as a beer tent and rides for the kids – there was no shortage of things to do and see. We love being able to put on events like this wine festival as it showcases the community environment in Emery Village. I know the residents enjoyed hearing the music from all of the entertainers and tasting some of the wonderful food we had; like the corn from the seniors group, steak sandwiches from Dominic’s Meats and the pies, who could forget those lovely pies from Capri Bakery? We would like to thank our wonderful sponsors for donating some fabulous prizes, which were raffled off to the festival goers. We hope that everyone had a great time and please follow us on twitter @emeryvillagebia and tweet in your photos from the event! We would love to see all of them!
