A time to think of those in need
Putting a smile on a child’s face is very important to us this time of year.
Emery helps by contributing to toy drives so that all children can experience the wonder and joy of receiving a gift.
31st Division Toronto Police Services has a toy drive every year to support children in need with unwrapped toys.
Donations will be accepted until Friday, Dec. 9 at the station located at 40 Norfinch Drive or at the Collision Reporting Centre located at 113 Toryork Drive.
Drop boxes are located at the front desks.
Some holiday staples families do not want to miss in Toronto this year: Canned vegetables and fruit, baby food, formula and cereals, canned meat, fish and beans and high fibre grains, cereals and pasta sauces.
Experience the sounds, sights and scents of Christmas inspired by the European Christkindlmarkt originated in Germany in the 1400’s. The Toronto Christmas Market runs from Nov. 18 to Dec. 22 in the historic distillery district.

Christmas flower shows have been popping up throughout the GTA. You can visit the Allan Gardens Conservatory and Centennial Park Conservatory that are highlighted this year. Each conservatory is decorated and filled with thousands of flowing plants including more than 30 varieties of poinsettia.
On the first Sunday in December, the shows’ grand opening features horse and wagon rides, carollers, hot apple cider and a visit from Santa.
The show will run until mid-January. For more information visit Allan Gardens Conservatory or Centennial Park Conservatory on www1.toronto.ca.
No matter what your budget is, remember that the holidays are about spending time with family and taking a moment to bring happiness to those who are in need.
Keep safe and enjoy!
Sincerely,
Executive Director
