As we start to embrace the coming spring season, it’s with great excitement that we announce some fantastic opportunities and updates for our Emery Village businesses and residents.
Firstly, mark your calendars for Thursday, April 18th, as the Emery Village BIA will host its second annual community-wide Job Fair at the Pinecrest Event Centre, located at 17 Vinyl Court, Woodbridge. This event runs from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. and promises to be a valuable opportunity for businesses, big and small, to meet with skilled job seekers.

We’re also thrilled to remind you that our Commercial Façade Improvement Grant Program is now open for applications until April 30, or until funds run out. This program is designed to help you freshen up your storefronts, making Emery Village even more welcoming and attractive.
If you own a commercial property or are a tenant (with the owner’s okay), you could be eligible for funding to enhance your façade. This includes things like new windows and doors, lighting, signage, and even making entrances more accessible, among others. It’s a chance to not only beautify your space but also to make it more inviting to customers and clients.
The grant can cover half your costs, up to $12,500, for improvements. Plus, there are extra funds available for accessibility upgrades and for businesses with multiple units. Just make sure you apply before the deadline and before starting any work to be eligible.
