One of North America’s most popular coffee chains has added another location to Emery Village. On January 20th, Starbucks opened a brand-new standalone facility at the southwest corner of Steeles Ave and Signet Rd., and welcomed its first customers.
“Our team is thrilled to be opening a new Starbucks location within the Emery Village area and to be joining this diverse community to provide delicious beverages and food to the area,” said store manager Jenny Slorach. “Our vision is to inspire each customer with every visit to our store. We are looking forward to welcoming the community into our store and are excited to get to know our community members.”
And what a beautiful, sleek, and ultra-modern facility it is. The coffee lovers out there will see this store features the Starbucks Nitro Cold Brew platform of beverages as well as several convenience programs, including: Starbucks Drive-Thru, Starbucks Mobile Order & Pay and Starbucks Delivers (In partnership with UberEats).
“We are looking forward to partnering with local community organizations and non-profits in the area,” Slorach said. “To start, we will be partnering with the Jane/Finch Community and Family Centre and the Second Harvest Food Rescue App to provide our excess food to a local community organization through the Starbucks FoodShare program.”
January has been brutal, and we all need an excuse to get out of our offices and homes. Keep in mind that February is just around the corner, and Starbucks will be featuring their Valentine’s Day treats. Check out the Heart Sugar Cookies and Valentine’s Day Cake Pop. And in keeping with tradition, Starbucks will be highlighting Black artists through their Black History Month playlist curated through the Starbucks Black Partner Network.
Stay warm, healthy, and stay caffeinated.
