The Emery Village Business Improvement Area (BIA) is proactively enhancing the local landscape while curbing graffiti. The BIA’s latest pilot project, aptly named, “Pole Wrapping,” aims to infuse vibrant Emery Village branding onto hydro poles. With a test run beginning on 40 selected poles, the initiative’s primary goal is to add a splash of color and discourage graffiti.
Some of these adorned poles can already be spotted near the CN rail bridge on Wilson Ave. If the pilot project proves successful, this innovative urban beautification effort could potentially become a regular sight in the area, contributing to the distinct identity of Emery Village. As the community engages with this project, its evolution promises a more colorful and engaging streetscape.
