Councillor’s Corner - Nov 2014

Dear Friends,

I would to take this time to express my deep gratitude at being given the opportunity to continue being your voice. I am encouraged by the tremendous confidence you have shown in me - you have given me your mandate and I will carry it forward.

Over the course of the past few months I have had the pleasure of meeting with many of you – both long time residents and newcomers to the community. We had many in depth conversations regarding Ward 7’s needs and how we will work together in order to ensure your concerns are being addressed. We share the same concerns, first and foremost that there is a lack of service being directed toward our community. We cannot go another winter with the snow not being removed from our streets. We cannot continue to be satisfied waiting weeks for inspectors to come when we call. We shouldn’t have to beg for our trees to be trimmed and our grass to be cut. We take pride in our community and we deserve the same level of service the rest of the city sees. I will fight to rectify this issue for all of us. We are on the same page when it comes to what we envision for our community and to those of you who did not always agree with me, I have heard your voices as well and I look forward to collaborating with you in order to bring together a unified Ward 7.

It has been both an honour and a privilege to serve you over the past 24 years. Growing and revitalizing our community will always be my priority. I will remain a source of support for all residents and will remain diligent in listening to your requests while working to ensure your needs are being met. I look forward to working with all of you to continue making Ward 7 the place we are proud to call home.

Sincerely,

Giorgio Mammoliti

Ward 7 Councillor
