Congratulations bursary award recipients
The 31 Division of the Toronto Police Service is proud of the 2021 Student Leadership Bursary Awards Recipients. All demonstrated leadership, motivation, and the drive to succeed.
This year was especially financially challenging due to COVID-19 for many students who will attend post-secondary education and/or training programs at either Ontario publicly-assisted colleges or universities. The 31 Division Community Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) has established a Student Leadership Bursary Awards to assist students financially.
The awards were presented to the students by Superintendent Khan, PC Amandeep Malhi, PC Mike Harris., Kevin Green from Greenwin Corp, and Nadia Ieraci from First Capital. The Toronto Police Mounted Unit also attended the celebration.
This one-time $1,000 bursary is awarded to one student from each of the eight secondary schools in 31 Division. Since its inception, they have awarded over 110 high school students.
The program has been made possible through the financial support of community members and supporters, First Capital, and Greenwin Corp.
Congratulations to all of the students and thank you to the supporters.
