Friends,
I hope this message finds you and your families well, healthy, and in good spirits. Before we break for the holidays, I wanted to reach out to you to provide a brief summary of the government’s recently released 2020 Fall Economic Statement.
We know that a hard winter awaits us—but better days are coming. On the vaccine front, there has already been phenomenal progress, and the Pfizer vaccine is beginning to be distributed and issued in Canada at this very moment, and we have earmarked significant amounts of money for the provinces and territories to support their vaccine distribution infrastructure.
Our Government has a plan to get through this crisis and recover strongly, and we are willing to do whatever it takes. We will invest in every necessary and helpful public health measure. We will support Canadian families and businesses in a deliberate, prudent, and effective way.
Through the Fall Economic Statement, the government is investing in our emergency health response, including rapid testing, PPE, and a new Long-Term Care Fund. We are ensuring that you and your business have the support you need to get through the latter stages of this crisis.
I know 2020 has been a challenge for us all, and I want to thank you and your families for the immense sacrifices you have made for the betterment of our nation. We are approaching the light at the end of the tunnel, and it will not be long before we can gather again and celebrate with our friends and families in the way we are familiar with. I appreciate your patience and sacrifice, and wish you and your family all the best through the holiday season.
Although our Constituency Office is temporarily closed to the public, we are still here to serve you remotely. Please feel free to contact me via telephone at 416-744-1882, or via email at judy.sgro@parl.gc.ca.
Happy Holidays!
Sincerely,
Judy
